What is deionized water?
Our crews will begin cleaning your solar panels by rinsing off the panels to remove any dirt and debris, then gently scrub down the panels using a metal free, water fed pole, with a ultra-soft silicone brush. We finish the cleaning with a deionized water rinse to remove any remaining dirt particles. Deionized water is Pure H2O. It's water that has been filtered to remove all minerals and other solids that are left behind when the water evaporates. It's important to use deionized water because if these particulates are allowed to build up on your panels glass, it will cause the panels to absorb less sun light and damage the glass over time. Not using deionized water can also be a contributing factor for your panels metal frames and support connectors to rust, which can lead to costly repairs.
